Founded in 1907, the Air & Waste Management Association (A&WMA) is a nonprofit, nonpartisan professional organization enhancing knowledge and expertise by providing a neutral forum for information exchange, professional development, networking opportunities, public education, and outreach to more than 5,000 environmental professionals in 65 countries. A&WMA promotes global environmental responsibility and increases the effectiveness of organizations to make critical decisions that benefit society.

The Mission of A&WMA is to assist in the professional development and critical environmental decision-making of our members to benefit society.

Chapter FAQ

Is there a local-only or local chapter-only A&WMA membership option?
No, please become an A&WMA International member at awma.org.  You can then sign up on our website for no additional fee to receive discounts to A&WMA-GCC local events.

I am an A&WMA International member and the Gulf Coast Chapter is listed as my Local Member Unit Affiliation, but I cannot log in on this website.  How do I register/sign in here?
Our website is completely separate from the International A&WMA’s site, but your user name is the email address you used during International A&WMA sign-up.  To retrieve your password on our site, click the Request Password option hereIf our system does not recognize your email address or it appears that you do not have an account with us, please email the webmaster or sign up here.

If I am already an A&WMA International member, do I have to pay a fee to become a member of the Gulf Coast Chapter?
No, but if our system does not recognize your email address or it appears that you do not already have an account with us (see question above), please either email the webmaster  or sign up here.

I am already an International A&WMA Member. How can I receive the discounted rate to your local GCC functions?
See above questions.  You must log into our website to register and pay for events at the discounted member rate. Your user name is the email address you used during International A&WMA sign-up.   If our system does not recognize your email address or it appears that you do not have an account with us, please email the webmaster or sign up here.

I don’t remember my user name. How can I retrieve it?
Your user name is the email address you used during sign-up, either on the International A&WMA website or this website.  If your email address has changed, email the webmaster to request a change. 

I don’t remember my password. How can I retrieve it?
To retrieve your password, click the
Request Password option here

I no longer have access to the email address that is on file for me. What then?
If your email address has changed, email the webmaster to request a change. 

I want to change my password in your database. How can I do that?
Once you log in, under the About tab of your profile, below the “Website” field, click the “Change” link under “Password”.

I want to change my profile information, such as address, title, company, etc.  How can I do that?
Once you log in, you can update all information in the About tab of your profile.  

I signed up for a membership, but I can’t seem to log in.
Please email the webmaster to verify membership status and/or payment and have your login manually activated. Once that is done, you should be able to log in, register, and pay for events at the discounted member rate. You may need to close your browser and revisit our website at www.awma-gcc.org to log in and register.

I am considering becoming an International Member. What are the benefits? 
International members receive A&WMA publications as well as membership benefits to International functions or functions outside of the Gulf Coast Chapter. You would still enjoy member discounts to Gulf Coast Chapter functions as a local associate. More information on A&WMA International can be found online at www.awma.org.
